Declaration Practice: instructions and practice

Before making a move, check the cards in view. Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Use another round to revisit a decision. Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account.

Build familiarity through play

Keep the active rule in mind. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

The challenge in front of you

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Take the next action only when the current step is clear. For a calm first round, focus on one decision.

The playing sequence

  1. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown.
  2. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence.
  3. Study the complete hand before answering. Choose Valid or Not valid.
  4. Read the explanation after submitting. Each question accepts one submitted answer.
  5. Continue to the tenth question for a session score; start another session for a new selection.

Getting comfortable with the controls

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. Take the next action only when the current step is clear. Work at your own pace.

Put the rules into context

Example hand: 5♠ 5♥ 5♣ 8♥ 4♥ 4♣ 5♦ Joker 4♠ 6♣ 7♥ 5♣ 9♥. Wild rank 12. All thirteen cards can be split into legal non-overlapping melds, including two sequences and a pure sequence. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

Keep this in mind

For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Use another round to revisit a decision.

A few questions answered

What is the aim?

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Take a moment to read the table. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

How do I use the controls?

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. Look at the complete hand before deciding. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Which format is available?

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account. A clear plan starts with the current position. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

What should I check before a move?

Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Use the rule sheet as a reference. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Can you give an example?

One pure run, another joker-assisted run and two complete sets can cover a valid 13-card hand. Begin with the objective. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

How many questions are available?

This exercise contains 500 stored questions. A session selects ten without repeating within that session. For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Can I change a submitted answer?

No. Read the explanation, then continue. Start another session to practise again. Work at your own pace. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Are the answers checked against the rules?

All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. Before making a move, check the cards in view. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Will I always see new cards?

No. The bank is finite, so another session may include a previously played question. Use the rule sheet as a reference. Use another round to revisit a decision.

What does the score measure?

The score is the number of correct answers in this ten-question session. It is not a skill certificate or a prediction of match results. Work at your own pace. Check the relevant controls before continuing.
